A Night in with Funfetti Waffle Sticks

Last night my roommate/best friend and I needed some dessert. We had Funfetti cake mix in the cupboard and a new kitchen gadget that I have been waiting to try out.

I got this waffle stick maker for Christmas and haven't gotten to use it yet so we decided it was time for some Funfetti waffle sticks!

Cake mix is quick and easy. The batter was the perfect medium to try out in my Babycakes waffle stick maker.

We overfilled the batter wells and had a little spillover.

We needed glaze to go with our Funfetti waffle sticks so we made one that is really simple with powdered sugar and milk. It's super customizable because you can make as much as you want by adding more of both ingredients and you can also make it as thick or as thin as you want by adding more powdered sugar or milk.

Our finished masterpiece. They actually tasted more like waffles than cake, which was unexpected but still delicious! They were also really fun to dip in the glaze and eat.

All of the pictures were taken by Tauri Smith.

Funfetti batter made by using the directions on the box.

Glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
milk as needed
This made enough to drizzle over about 12 of the waffle sticks.
