CPK with Friends

On Friday, Peter and I went to CPK with some friends for dinner. We hadn't seen them in over a month!

We drove up to Cerritos to meet Nick, Chelsea, and William.

Our original plan was to go to one of our favorite Thai places, Panvimarn, but the wait was 1 hour and 30 minutes! So we decided to wait only 20 minutes at CPK.

Chelsea and I started off with Caribbean Sunset Sangria and the boys had beers. It was in a really big glass! It had a couple a fresh pineapple slices, along with granny smith apple and blueberries, so I thought I might have a allergic reaction. I don't think I did; at least my throat didn't hurt or swell up.

Peter and I shared Kung Pao Spaghetti, as usual...

and Asparagus and Spinach with Penne. This dish wasn't as good as usual. It was really plain.

Sunday Brunch

Today for breakfast, we went to Breadcrumbs Ohana Cafe. It is a Hawaiian breakfast place that we usually end up at if we want to go out for breakfast. Breakfast isn't my favorite meal of the day, but I like it here. It was a nice day so we sat outside.

I had hot green tea and a blueberry muffin. It had crunchy sugar crystals on top! I had eaten a yogurt before we left so I wasn't that hungry.

Peter had the HB special with 2 eggs over medium, hashbrowns, a ham steak, and sourdough toast. He thought it came with bacon because he read the menu wrong haha.

Isn't he so creative with his ketchup? :)

Date Night

Last night Peter and I went to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner. It is one of the few place we can go and share food since we usually don't like to eat the same things. We also forgot to take pictures before we started eating haha!

We ordered the Kung Pao Spaghetti, which Peter has always loved and I just recently tried for the first time. It is made with spaghetti, hot chilies, green onions, peanuts, and a sweet and spicy sauce. It's so yummy!

The other dish we ordered was a cheese pizza on thin crust. It is so crispy and the cheese isn't too heavy. We hate soggy pizza so we love this one.

And finally, I had a glass of Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling. It is light and slightly sweet.

We sat at the bar so we didn't have to wait for a table, but I think it's fun to sit there anyway!

Panera and a Drive to LAX

Last night my boyfriend, Peter, and I ate dinner at Panera. He said he wanted something healthy, like a salad. We also hadn't been there in a while. They have some new fall items on the menu so I was excited because I'm ready for fall! It's been really hot in my apartment lately so I'm really for it to cool down a bit.

He ordered the Asian Sesame salad and the Italian Combo sandwich. The salad was really good and he enjoys the sandwich.

I tried the Autumn Squash soup and the Caesar Chicken sandwich. I always get this sandwich because I love it and the soup was good too. It almost tasted like curry, but it was pretty sweet so I didn't finish the whole bowl.

We also tried the Tropical Hibiscus herbal tea. It tasted like fruit punch to me, even though it was unsweetened. I liked it!

We got a 99 cent pastry because we bought a drink and a dinner meal so I picked the cookie with candy pieces. Yummy! And when I used my Panera card the cashier told me I had a free pastry from my birthday so I picked a chocolate croissant. It was delicious! Peter and I shared the croissant and saved the cookie for later. It was nice that Panera honors their free birthday pastry even after your birthday month is over, since most places usually only let you use a birthday freebie when it's your birthday month. So happy birthday to me 2 months late!

After dinner we drove Tauri to the airport so she could fly out to Texas for the weekend to visit her friend.
